2020 Middle School Speech and Debate Camp Registration is Open!
July 27-31 2020
The Pinecrest Speech and Debate Team hosts a week-long summer camp every year for rising 6, 7, 8, and 9th grade students. From 9 am to 4 pm students will pick an area of concentration and begin to develop skills necessary for competitive speech. All students will benefit from increased confidence and the ability to articulate ideas.
Campers will spend a week with current and alumni members of the Pinecrest Speech and Debate Team and find out just what is involved in competitive speech.
Students will receive an overview of:
- Humorous Interpretation
- Dramatic Interpretation
- Impromptu Speaking
- Informative Speaking
- Oral Interpretation
- Public Forum Debate
- Congressional Debate (for returning campers only)
- Duo Interpretation (for returning campers only)
Cost of Camp: $150
Price includes afternoon snack, all printed handouts and registration costs. Students must bring lunch and are encouraged to bring a water bottle.
